Weekly blessing reflection

This week I would like to recognize the blessing that is family. We went to Sigurd this weekend to visit Nephi's family. Nephi's brother and his wife Caitie also came from Helper to visit. It was great being able to spend time with them and let our little babies play together. Not to mention, have you seen the kids cheeks? I could not stop kissing and snuggling that baby. You wouldnt be able to tell who was older of the two if I didn't tell you, Its Kanon by a month.

I'd also like to recognize how much Maverick blesses us with his humor and love. We are laughing at things he does on a regular basis. He found this bubble wand at grandmas and of course talked her into taking it home

At first I was not excited about it because frankly I hate the mess that bubbles make. However look how cool these bubbles are.

And that face says it all, he was in love with the thing.

Sunday=blessing reflections

So I'm going to start a new thing on my blog. I need to focus on the blessings in my life, therefore every Sunday I'm going to make a list or overview of my blessings and what I'm thankful for over the past week.
Here goes..... First off I'm thankful for having the worlds cutest children. I'm thankful for Maverick and his sensitive personality. He is so in tune with me and how I'm feeling, He always knows how to make me feel better. His sense of humor is unlike any other child his age I have ever met. He is a clone of his daddy, which makes me happy. Second I'm thankful for having a husband who lives his life following the gospel so that he can bless our lives with the priesthood. I'm thankful for the wonderful blessing I was able to receive by him before my job interview on Thursday. (more details on that later)
I'm thankful for a great baby is so laid back that I can take him anywhere with ease. He smiles so easily it melts a persons heart. I love just staring at him at night while he is sleeping. Words cant express the way I feel inside while looking at him. I also am thankful for the gospel and the way it blesses me day in and day out. Without the light of Christ in my life I wouldn't know how to make it through life's challenges.
Following these little reflections I will end by posting some pictures of this last week and the fun things going On in the Iverson's family.

Maverick is very into lining up everything. Whatever he is playing with or is new has to be lined up just so. If you try to bother him while he is doing it he will have a come apart. A little OCD like me I think. I woke up from a nap to find this on my book case. Trains facing forward, cars toward the window and dinosaurs facing forward

We went last night with some friends and had a yummy dutch oven dinner. It was really fun

Yes for those of you who don't have a facebook, or seen mine Maverick does have an awful black eye. He tripped while running and hit it on a drawing easel. But he's doing much better now

Happy 3rd little bubba

Today is my sweet Maverick's birthday. I can not believe how fast time goes by when you have children. He has been such a big part of my life, he brings me joy I never knew was possible. There was a time in my life that I thought I couldn't have children so I had just given up. However being a mom was something I just ached to be. The day I found out I was pregnant with him was a day that changed me forever! I had never felt so complete. Followed by the day I gave birth, You truly couldn't bring me down off of that cloud. Maverick you were so worth all the weight mommy put on, (wish it was gone now however) you were worth all 18 hours of labor, you were worth all the sleepless nights and first and for most you were worth all the heartache I had to go through to finally have you in my life. It was a journey I would take all over again to have you.
Yesterday we celebrated little bubba's birthday with his friends at the bowling alley. Maverick's favorite thing in the world right now is bowling. He had a blast! My friend Veronica made him the cutest bowling ball cake and I made some bowling pins. It was a hit, all the kids loved it! Grandma and Grandpa sent money to get Maverick his first bike. Although he is a little frustrated that he cant petal it, he loves it and looks so big on it.

A BIG pick me up

This video is so great, I have been so uplifted by Stephanie and her little family. The video is just the pick me up we could all use right now. My favorite line she says is "Motherhood is beauty". Push pause on my music to watch this and ENJOY!
