I LOVE this..........

So Ive been learning ALOT about food storage, like canning and such. I feel that the way the world is I need to do all I can to make sure Im preparing for my families future no matter what happens. I have learned a new love for the gospel seeing how much it changes people and the comfort you can have in this life that there truly is nothing to fear. I came across this awsome video and wanted to share it. It honestly gave me goose bumps while watching it. I hope it inspires you the way it inspired me. You'll have to mute my music to hear it.

In need of YOUR love....

So about ten years ago this angel named Jaxson came into my life and forever changed me. He is the son of my dear friends Tami and T.J. He was born with cerebral palsy and other medical difficulties. He is dealing with alot of things at this time including arthritis. HE'S only 10. Anyway Tami has been an outstanding mother in taking care of him and ALL of his needs and still he gets uncomfortable just sitting in his chair.

So as you can imagine by looking at this pic of these children in Africa with them same difficulties as Jax sitting on a LAWN chairs how uncomfortable they have to be. They have nothing and no means to get anything to help them.

Tami has made a blog just for this purpose of helping these kids have even just a tiny bit of help. I know that this may not seem like a big deal to any of you but it really is. I hope that this post tugs on your heart strings and has you on your knees asking your father in heaven if there might be something you can do to help. Weather it be a donation or your prayers, please find the time to think about this past just reading it. This is something really near and dear to my heart. Jaxson has let me feel the spirit in my life in ways I know I wouldnt have been able to without him and he truly is heaven sent. Thanks Jax for helping auntie Shawna want to be a better person and for choosing to be in MY life. I love you buddy.

New Kicks

SO I always have in the back of my mind how bad I dont want Maverick to have the same problem as me. I have CMT (type of muscular dystropy) and its possible that I have passed it to him. Dont get me wrong I havent had a bad life but times have been hard, I had major surgery on both my feet and it wasnt fun. Anyway, I always am thinking about it. I love getting Maverick new shoes. He has an obsession with them just like his daddy. We went to Vegas this weekend and got him these new "kicks" he's wearing... What did you exspect, he had to look pimpin to go to Vegas. I will admit I still cant believe we spent that much on them but they are OHHH so Cute.






Maverick loves to kneel and pretend like he's sliding into home plate. All you have to do is say "Safe" and wave your arms and he'll kneel, its so cute.

So Im alittle behind on updating about the greatest day of my life. Ive been waiting to get some pics to post but I thought I'd share how it went. It was amazing. I really hope that I can forever in my mind keep the image of little Maverick in all white coming to us in the temple. Simply PRICELESS! I never thought I could love my little family more than I already do but after Sat. its starting all over again. I had one the missionaries that taught me before and after I got baptised fly all the way from ALASKA just for the sealing. I was overjoyed I hadnt seen him in 3 and half years. He got to stay with us for a few days and I cried like a baby when he left. Cant wait to go visit him this next year. I also was overwhelmed with love and support from all of my friends and Nephi's family that came to support us. Thank you to all of you for being there. "My cup overfloweth"
And just as a little treat for everyone and a little glimse into the future I thought I would share this Awsome pic of Maverick on the morning of our sealing. He's wearing grandpa's tag, who is serving on the indian reservation. Thanks also to them for leaving the Mission just for this.

Looking back.......

I cant believe how fast the time goes by. This pic was from 2 1/2 years ago. I was falling madly in love with the guy of my dreams. I truly dont know how to put into words the way I feel about getting sealed to my best friend. This is amazing and more than I could have ever asked for.



Seeing how happy you are from Maverick coming into our lives is awsome. You are the best daddy in the world.

I want more than anything for Nephi to know how much I love him. He has truly changed my life. I went through alot of horrible things in my life and he came at the perfect time. I never thought I would even get baptised let alone be sealed in the temple. The joy and clarity I have in my life is priceless. I know Im not always the nicest, and sometimes I look kinda scarey with no makeup and a shower. But you make me feel like a princess. You are the prince I used to make my Ken doll be, you are the Edward from my "Twlight" series. You are an amazing person and I love and resepct the preisthood that you hold. It is such a blessing in our home. From here to eternity Iverson's this is just the begining.
P.S. I used to look way good, wow being a mom has really changed me. :(

Please Help Me....

Mac and cheese is taking over my life. I really would love some ideas from all of my mommy friends on healthier lunch options for my little monkey. I feel guilty giving him mac and cheese but he loves it. It's homemade which helps me alittle but give me a break. :)



And by the look on this face you can tell how much he loves it.

A fun little trip to Vegas and back

What mom doesn't need a break now and then? A friend in my ward had surgery in Vegas and had to go for her follow up appointment. So a few of my other friends from the ward jumped in her van and made a day of it. Of course we were taken pics on the way there.

We went to the mall while she had her appointment and shopped around for awhile. I love all things sports, of course it was a great idea to get my picture taken in a sports store.

And last we went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. Are you kidding me? That food was so good. I had fried Mac and cheese balls. I know sounds crazy but honestly the best thing I've had in a restaurant in a long time. Everyone wished they would have got it too.

What a nice little break and alot of laughs shared with great people

Hurricane's annual Peach Days

We went to enjoy Peach days with our friends, the Matautia's. Of course Maverick loved the bouncy house. The only problem was trying to get him out when he was done. Nephi and I couldnt fit throught the opening and he just kept running away from us. Pretty funny

He got alittle air on that jump :)



We love spending time with our friends. It makes little outings like these alot more fun

WARNING ALL MOM'S

This is my friends little boy. She took him in to the doc for a commom cold. The doc asked her if he was allergic to anything and she said no but that she was. She told him she a severe allergies to any type of "cillins". Not listening to her he still went ahead and gave him Amoxicillin. The commom one they give to every child who even has a small cold. Well you can see what happend. :(

After two trips to the instacare with no help, They had to take him to the E.R. this morning for swelling and breathing problems.



Even though everything is going to turn out fine for this poor little baby, I wanted every one to be aware of the risks you can incounter from common antibiotics. Always listen to your motherly instincts and go with what you feel.

OH MY.....

Can I just say that Michael Phelps is like the Edward of the Twilight series. Who is the man anyway and where do his skills and body come from? I love love love to watch him swim and of course love to see him after he swims walking around with his freakishly perfect body. I do think he is quite handsome with his goggels and swim cap on but not so much without. But I will say the Edward in my dreams has Michael's body and maybe my husbands face. lol ok not really but I thought that would make Nephi happy. :) Anyway this is a totally random post but I had to say it.
